Photo Gallery of Sriracha ( Si Racha ) in Thailand.
The view from the hill in Koh Loy in Sriracha. A temple with a orangish
roof and a dock around a building with a reddish roof.
Si Racha (Sriracha) is a coastal city in the province Chonburi,
Thailand.
It's located at the Gulf of Thailand, about 100 kilometers or 60
miles south-east of
Bangkok.
( Pattaya is about 30km south and Bang Saen is about 10 km north of Siracha. )
You can see a Thai-Chinese temple called
Wat Ko Loi on
the island called Koh Loy (Loy Island) which is connected with the mainland by a long causeway. You also can
enjoy zoos; Khao Khew Open Zoo and Si Racha Tiger Zoo.
Sri Racha is
the home of famous spicy sauce Naam Phrik Sii Raachaa.
I didn't notice that when I visited here in January, 2010, but many
Japanese work on the nearby industrial estates and
more than two thousand Japanese (their families, expatriate employees, and business travellers) live in
the area. That's why this area, Sri racha, has a
Japanese school like in Bangkok.

Kannondo, a temple, dedicated to Kannon facing the sea. It must be for
protecting the ocean.
There is a small island in Siracha called "Koh Loy". The island and mainland is connected by a bridge and you can visit
there by walking or car across the bridge.
In the island, there is a Thai-Chinese shrine on the hill called
Wat Koh Loy.The view from there is wonderfull.

The Thai-Chinese temple, Wat Koh Loy, is on the hill of the island. You can visit there by walking up
stairs.
The picture shows the view on the way to the top. The land on the
other side in the picture is the mainland of Thailand. The bridge connects
the mainland and this island. Very crowded with cars. Better to walk ?
