[Thai Language] On the phone

Let's see the expressions about talking on the phone.

Speaking of phones, when someone has a wrong number, he/she usually say " sorry " and hang up. However sometimes it's different in Thailand. The person who has a wrong number will ask you, " Where is it ? " (Why ??? :D )

Now, let's talk on the phone.

Hello

First of all, how to say "Hello" in Thai language when you call someone ?
meaning Thai Language (Green:stress / Blue:male / Pink:female)
Hello Sawasdee krab/ka

Hello Hello

"Hello" on the phone is "Sawasdee krap/ka" which also means "Hi", "Good morning", "Good afternoon" and "Good evening", "Bye" in Thai language.

"Hello" also can be used in a close relationship. "Sawasdee krap/ka" is a politer expression than "Hello".

What are you doing ?
(Between close people)

What are you doing, madam ? Tham arai yuu la khunnaai
ทำอะไรอยู่ล่ะคุณนาย
